For 1,500 years Venetian glass has dazzled the world with their spectacular glass wares. First designed to add illumination to bath houses, the masters of their craft were sequestered on the island of Murano, Italy in order to avoid setting fire to the city. From this area, glassblowers innovated and refined their trade to include beads and jewelry. When you hold a piece of Murano glass in your hand, you know you are holding a piece of history.
