I purchased the Frida fabric in Mexico. It's a wonderful fabric that has many Spanish sayings and objects in the design, but it was the image of Frida that really caught my eye. I cut her out and enhanced her image with hand-made fabric flowers. I also attached vintage buttons and jewelry to give the piece sparkle. This necklace is backed on felt, making it very lightweight and comfortable to wear. She looks great peeking out from under an open jacket or with boat neck top.
